In a rather ‘unprecedented’ yet pleasant development, the side wall of a traffic island in Mokokchung Town, which was damaged after a vehicle rammed into it around noon on Tuesday, 5 September, was found to be repaired by midnight.
As reported earlier by this newspaper, a Maruti Gypsy rammed into the traffic island located at Mariani Road junction near Rotary Club building in Mokokchung town. According to a traffic police account, the accident was attributed to “a lapse in the driver’s judgment.”
It could not be ascertained who repaired the damaged portion of the structure at the time of filing this report.
