Mokokchung, 7 March (MTNews): The Bharatiya Janata Nagaland State has successfully hosted the culmination program of the “3-Day Nari Shakti Vandhan” wherein, ‘Live Telecast’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address from West Bengal was screened through Video Conference on 6 March 2024 in all the 14 Districts of Nagaland, a press release from the BJP Nagaland State Media Department said.
The Nari Shakti Vandhan initiative has served as a platform for creating awareness amongst womenfolk, thereby fostering unity and collective efforts towards accessing the various welfare schemes and flagship programs implemented by the Modi government at the Centre, it said.
“The successful execution of the event also underscored Mahila Morcha’s pivotal role in mobilizing the grassroot women and setting good precedence for various endeavors which are aimed at empowering women by breaking barriers and asserting societal advancement,” it said.
“With the combined efforts of political leadership and massive community participation, the path towards gender equality and empowered women as key decision makers is taking positive stride in Nagaland,” it added.
It also said that the BJP is a party that gives ample space to women, as Prime Minister Modi has stated, “Empowering our women folks gives strength to the Nation.”
It also said that in the State of Nagaland, the party is making all out efforts to support and promote women leadership roles under the leadership of State President Benjamin Yepthomi and Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton.
