The Naga Mothers Association (NMA) has issued a strong condemnation of the sexual violence crimes allegedly committed by Robert Kikon, a former senior pastor of the Father’s House Church in Chumoukedima. In a statement released on Thursday, the association called on law enforcement to take immediate action regarding the First Information Report (FIR) filed against Kikon, urging a thorough investigation into the serious allegations.

The association expressed solidarity with the minor victims, emphasizing the need for justice for those who may have been silenced due to societal pressures. “We stand in solidarity for justice for the affected and traumatized minor victims, who might have been silenced by societal considerations,” the statement read.

The Naga Mothers Association also urged church leaders and the families of the victims to fully cooperate with investigators to ensure a transparent and effective inquiry.

They highlighted that this troubling incident serves as a stark reminder of the unreported crimes that often occur within communities, masked by the facade of religious institutions.

“This shameful expose is a cruel reminder of such unreported crimes being committed in our society under the guise of religious predators that exist under the heavy hypocritical silence of churches,” the NMA stated.
