Express resentment against transferring a teacher without reliever in the name of rationalization

Noklak, April 3 (MTNews): The Pathso Range Students’ Union (PRSU), Noklak, have expressed it strong resentment against the “irrational exercise of transferring a teacher without reliever, in the name of rationalization,” from GMS PathsoNokeng, which it said is already running with shortage of teachers.

PRSU president, P Zuhing said that while the school is already functioning with low strength of teachers, it is surprising to know that the department is carrying out such an exercise by transferring a teacher (with post) without studying the ground reality of GMS PathsoNokeng. PRSU said that the school, which is a composite of Primary and Middle sections, has only 11 teachers to function the school of 10 (ten) classrooms. “Due to this shortage, the teachers are facing immense hardship to cover the syllabus and limits the learning of the students to the full potential,” PRSU further said.

PRSU further said that, out of the eleven teachers, there are only two Graduate Teachers (GTs) in the school. “It must also be mentioned that, due to inadequate number of teachers in the school, even the community is trying its best to keep the functioning of the school afloat by sponsoring a teacher voluntarily,” PRSU informed.

“Therefore, in such an above-stated situation with shortage of teachers, we pray to the concerned department to kindly look into the matter and revoke the transfer of Supou Khiamniungan from GMS PathsoNokeng in the absence of a relieving teacher,” PRSU requested.
