Mokokchung launched the first round of District-Level National Deworming Day on February 10, 2025, at Government Middle School Mopongsen, Merangkong, Mokokchung. The deworming drive will be carried out across schools, Anganwadi Centers (AWCs), and health units throughout Mokokchung district.
At the launching program, Dr Suimzenla, MO (Ayush), delivered a health talk on the effects of parasitic worms on health, the importance of hygiene, and available treatments. She emphasized that the objective of the initiative is to deworm children and adolescents, reducing the prevalence of intestinal parasitic infections.
Concluding the program, the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) team from the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung, administered the required dose of Albendazole tablets to all enrolled children.
The program was organized by the RBSK team, Mokokchung, led by Dr Suimzenla, MO (Ayush), and Dr Arenkaba, MO (Ayush).
