The Ao Senden extended its “warmest congratulations” to Nagaland Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio, who was recently awarded the Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa) degree in recognition of his “exceptional contributions to public service and leadership.”

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Ao Senden highlighted the significance of the honor, stating, “This prestigious degree is a testament to his contributions and leadership in public service and public life.”
Dr Rio, the son of Late Guolhoulie Rio of Tuophema village, has been a prominent figure in Nagaland’s political landscape since 1989. The Ao Senden described him as “unquestionably one of the tallest leaders and true son of the soil, in the history of Nagaland,” underscoring his achievement of being elected as Chief Minister five times.
The Ao Senden concluded its message with well wishes for the Chief Minister’s future endeavors. “We wish him health and more success in his leadership in public life,” the statement read.
