The Losami Drivers’ Union (LDU) and Losami Youth Society (LYS), in collaboration with the Home Guards & Civil Defence and State Disaster Response Force, Phek, organized an awareness programme on “Preparedness and Effective Disaster Response” on July 19 at Losami village, Phek district.
During the event, Sub-Inspector Imaner and his six-member team trained drivers and youth on effective management and response during man-made and natural disasters. The team also conducted a demonstration on fire control methods.
First aid boxes were distributed to all participants.
Meanwhile, LDU President Kewekhazo Tsido and LYS President Hichote Tara expressed sincere gratitude to the concerned departments for conducting the programme and acknowledged its importance for the safety and well-being of the local populace.
