The Assam Valley Baptist Association (AVBA) celebrated its 20th Foundation Day at its community hall in Nakachari, Jorhat district.
New office bearers of AVBA were installed and dedicated by Rev. C. Temjen of Chungtiayimsen, while the sermon was delivered by Jongshimanen Jamir, Mission Director of DABA Duncan, Dimapur.
Short speeches were given by Limaakum, Pastor of Nakachari Ao Baptist Church, and Er. Sashi Longchar, who shared a note on integrating Sûngratsû Lipong Semchir Mission with AVBA, which sponsors five pastors.
The program was presided over by Nimrudh Mandal, Secretary Church & Mission. The welcome and keynote address were given by Er. Temsu Wathi, President AVBA, and the closing prayer was offered by Huni Gogoi, Executive Secretary AVBA. Around 200 members from 34 churches attended.
