Football 4 Change (F4C) Manipur outclassed Sechü Zubza Football Academy (SZFC) 5–2 in the first match of the 25th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy on Tuesday.
The trophy has now expanded to Chümoukedima Football Stadium, where eight matches will be played daily. In Match No. 16, F4C opened the scoring through Nehminlun in the 25th minute.
Lungin added two more goals in the 40th and 58th minutes to give F4C a commanding lead. Alpha sealed the win with goals in the 80th and 90+1st minutes. SZFC’s Rokosalie Nipu (852 ) and Vimeyieto Nipu (90+42 ) scored late consolation goals but could not turn the tide.
Abelson of Football 4 Change was named Man of the Match and received the award from Kevizayie Peter, Convenor of the Chümoukedima Football Stadium Committee.
With eight matches scheduled daily at 5 p.m., the tournament’s expansion to Chümoukedima promises more thrilling encounters as the 25th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy continues to engage fans.
