The Valedictory Programme and Prize Distribution Ceremony of Hindi Fortnight 2025 was held at Nagaland University, Lumami, on September 29, marking the conclusion of two weeks dedicated to the promotion of Hindi language and culture. The programme drew active participation from faculty, staff, and students, reflecting the university’s commitment to linguistic and cultural diversity.
Prof. Mithilesh Kumar Sinha, Senior Professor in the Department of Economics, attended as the Chief Guest and addressed the gathering with words of encouragement. Dr. Harish Kumar Tiwari, Deputy Director (Sports), delivered the Keynote Address, emphasizing the vital role of Hindi in strengthening national integration and cultural unity.
The event opened with a Welcome Address by Dr. Ashish Kumar, Hindi Officer, who outlined the initiatives undertaken during the fortnight. The programme was chaired by Dr. Ashutosh Tripathi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Science, while the Vote of Thanks was given by Peter Ki, Public Relations Officer of the university.
Distinguished attendees included Yanrenthung Ezung, Controller of Examinations, Dr. Kevezai Tureng, Director of the College Development Council, and Prof. Joginder Singh Panwar, Director of IQAC, along with Deans, Heads of Departments, Officers, and members of the Hindi Cell.
The highlight of the ceremony was the distribution of prizes to winners of competitions organized during the fortnight. The programme concluded with a reaffirmation of the university’s commitment to promoting Hindi in both academic and administrative domains.
