The Zeliangrong Youth Organization Nagaland (ZYON) has deferred its ultimatum over the unresolved Pimla murder case following a meeting with the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, on Thursday, Eastern Mirror reported.
Zeliang explained that the decision to postpone the agitation came after the forensic report, which had been requested earlier, was received and submitted to the court. He added that a court hearing is now scheduled, providing the authorities an opportunity to advance the case.
The case remains unresolved six months after the brutal killing of a mother between Mhaikam and Pimla villages. Zeliang said the organisation, along with youth, student, and women’s groups, met the CP in what he described as “an up-and-down discussion.”
He also reiterated several key demands: publicly reveal the culprit, obtain the forensic report, and establish a forensic laboratory in Nagaland.
