Following the five-day deadline issued by the Chungtia Students’ Union (CSU) over the lack of response from both the contractor and the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare regarding the “poor and doubtful” quality inspection report of the Ayush Hospital at Chungtia village, the department has officially responded by convening a meeting to address the issue.
In a notification issued by Dr. Mereninla Senlem, Principal Director of Health & Family Welfare, the department informed that a meeting on the “Setting up of 50 Bedded Integrated Ayush Hospital at Sabangya, Mokokchung” has been scheduled for October 13, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Mokokchung.

The CSU had earlier issued a five-day ultimatum demanding an explanation from both the contractor and the department after the quality inspection test of the under-construction hospital reportedly produced “poor and doubtful” results. The union had warned of initiating its own course of action if the concerned authorities failed to respond within the stipulated time.
