The Nagaland Education Project – The Lighthouse (NECTAR) is conducting a training on the Annual Curriculum and Pedagogical Plan (ACPP) as part of the School Transformation Strategy for Trainers of Teachers (ToTs) and Professional Learning Communities (PLC) from 28–31 January 2026 at the Administrative Training Institute, Kohima.

The four-day training focuses on ACPP frameworks, templates, and implementation processes for English, Mathematics, Social Science, and Science to strengthen pedagogy and academic leadership at Lighthouse School Complex (LSC) levels. Emphasis is placed on Learning Outcomes and student competency through pedagogical improvements.
Shashank Pratap Singh (IAS), Principal Director of DoSE and Project Director of NECTAR, stressed the importance of developing micro plans at the classroom level, including plans for children with special needs (CwSN).
Over 70 participants from all 17 districts are attending, covering ACPP design, quality review, implementation, monitoring, and cascade planning. Lessons will be extended to teachers in all LSCs in February.
The ACPP is a comprehensive guide supporting schools in designing, implementing, reviewing, and strengthening teaching and learning, mandated under the School Quality Assessment and Assurance Framework (SQAAF) by the Ministry of Education.
