Longtili C Sangtam has officially resigned from the post of Vice Chairperson of the Social Media Department of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) on 13 March 2026. He has also stepped down from his active membership in the party.

Longtili C Sangtam joined the Indian National Congress in 2020. He first served in the Youth Congress as General Secretary of Pungro–Kiphire Assembly constituency. Later, he was appointed as the President of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) Kiphire District.

Following his work with the student wing, he was appointed as the General Secretary (Organisation) of the District Congress Committee Kiphire. Later, he was given the responsibility of General Secretary (Administration) of the same committee.

In recognition of his work in communication and digital outreach, he was later appointed as Coordinator of Social Media of the NPCC and subsequently as Vice Chairperson of the Social Media Department of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee.

In his resignation letter addressed to the President of the NPCC, Longtili C Sangtam expressed gratitude to the party leadership and members for giving him the opportunity to serve in various roles. He stated that it had been an honour to work with dedicated leaders and members of the party.

He mentioned that due to personal reasons, he has decided to step down from his responsibilities and from active participation in the party with immediate effect.
