Nagaland added its second medal at the ongoing Khelo India Tribal Games 2026, with a silver in athletics at Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh.

Rüduolhounuo Rachel Belho secured the silver medal in the women’s 100 metres sprint, clocking 12.9 seconds. She finished behind Jharkhand’s Prithvi Oraon in the event. The achievement takes Nagaland’s medal tally to two at the inaugural edition of the Games.

The state had opened its account earlier with a bronze medal in athletics. Tsuchoi T, a 26 year old athlete from Noklak district, finished third in the women’s 5000 metres event with a timing of 18 minutes 35.6 seconds.

The Khelo India Tribal Games 2026 began on March 25 and are being conducted across multiple venues in Chhattisgarh. The event is aimed at identifying and nurturing sporting talent from tribal communities across the country.

Nagaland’s performances in athletics so far have contributed both medals for the state.
