Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav felicitated cadets of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Nagaland at a programme held at Lok Bhavan on Wednesday.

Addressing the gathering, the Governor expressed pride in honouring the cadets and praised their spirit of unity, discipline, and dedication. He lauded them for successfully scaling Mount Saramati on March 19 along with their officers and staff.

Yadav especially appreciated the participation of girl cadets and lady Associate NCC Officers in the expedition, describing it as a strong reflection of women’s empowerment and their growing presence in challenging fields.

He also acknowledged various initiatives undertaken by NCC Nagaland, including Vibrant Village visits, Yuva Aapda Mitra training, Youth and Alumni Festival, National Integration Camps, trekking activities, and collaborative efforts through MoUs with institutions such as NIELIT and ICAR.

The Governor said these initiatives significantly promote national integration, personality development, and skill enhancement among youth, preparing them for future employment and responsible citizenship.

Emphasising the importance of values and responsibility, he urged the cadets to remain steadfast in their commitment to building a harmonious and prosperous nation.

The programme celebrated the achievements and contributions of NCC cadets in Nagaland. A total of 50 cadets and officials of the Mount Saramati Expedition Team were felicitated for their successful expedition and exemplary teamwork.
