Nagaland Advisor for Tourism and Art and Culture, H. Khehovi Yepthomi inaugurated Tribal Circuit at Noklak in the presence of Advisor Prisons, Printing, and Stationery H. Haiying on 21st May 2022.

With the inauguration of the Tribal Circuit, the Tourism Advisor said that Noklak has entered the “tourism map of the world.” Seeing the potential of the tourism sector of Noklak district and with facilities of tourism amenities, Khehovi hoped that Noklak district will go forward in the tourism sector in the days to come.

 

Khehovi said Tribal Circuit Noklak was constructed under Swadesh Darshan 2016-17 which was funded by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. Khehovi requested the people to take ownership and take care of the facilities.

 

Advisor Advisor, Prisons, Printing & Stationery, H. Haiying said that Tribal Circuit is one of its kind in the Noklak district and he expressed hope that the Tribal Circuit will benefit in many ways. He thanked the Tourism Ministry, Government of India for putting Noklak on the tourism map of the world.

 

Deputy Commissioner Noklak, Hiazu Meru in his speech said that the Noklak district has a lot of potential in the tourism sector where he mentioned places like ITC Dan, Wansoi, Choklangan, Wui, Chipur, Peshu, etc. The district is rich in handicrafts, black Smith, Handloom, traditional bags, etc where it requires government intervention.

 

Technical remarks were given by the Executive Engineer, Tourism Er. S. Hutoka Sema where he mentioned that 15 components have been successfully constructed at Tribal Circuit in Noklak.
Khiamniungan Tribal Council President, M.Thangou expressed his sincere appreciation to Advisor Khehovi for inaugurating the much-awaited Tribal Circuit in the district. He also gave thanks to all the stakeholders and landowners for the successful completion.

 

Earlier, the dedication of Tribal Circuit was pronounced by Rev Penglang, KBCA, and invocation prayer was said by Pastor, Longdon Baptist Church, Noklak town A.Penglang. The programme was chaired by Senior Tourism Officer, Moatemsu, and acknowledgment was taken by TRPO President Hangthing.
