The new team of the Midland Council Kohima (Ward 9), Kohima, for the tenure 2026–2031 was announced on May 13.

Menuokholie Kire was appointed chairman, while Khrielezo Vitsu and Neilese Peki were named vice chairmen. Thejazelie Tase was appointed general secretary, with Keviletuo Ngukha and Saliezotuo Meru as joint secretaries. Kekhrieo Solo was named treasurer.

Other office bearers include Khoto Ngukha as property secretary, Vihu Meyase as finance secretary, and Kethokhrieto Vimera as information and publicity secretary. Advisors include Kopelo Krome, Medovilhou Kire, and Tsao Paphino.

The GBs are Neikhonyii Sote, Kekhrietuo Ngukha, and Obed Kent. Judiciary Board members are Veswupoi Theyo, Thejasievi Kerhuo, Zhavotso Ltu, and all sector GBs.

Sani Metha was appointed convenor of the Sanitation Committee. Upper sector members are Victor Rutsa and Dziesetuolie Mezhier; middle sector members are Asongba Peter and Kezhanguto Ngukha; and lower sector members are Neichiituolie Sophie, Madi Koso, and Arietuo Kesiezie.

Earlier, the handing and taking over programme of the incoming and outgoing office bearers was held at the Midland Community Building on May 13.

The programme was chaired by outgoing chairman Kopelo Krome, while Toso Thaprii, general secretary, presented the secretary’s report. The audit report was presented by Kekhwezo Tara, and the search committee report by Viphrezo Zao.

Neisalie Rossi invoked God’s blessing, while the vote of thanks was proposed by outgoing vice chairman Tsao Paphino.
