The District Administration, Atoizu Town Council and Atoizu Police conducted a joint inspection of shops and business establishments across Atoizu town on August 18 to strengthen consumer protection and promote compliance with lawful business practices.

The inspection team comprised officials from the District Administration, including Dobashis, along with representatives of the Atoizu Town Council and Atoizu Police.
During the inspection, the team checked trade licences, hygiene standards and food products being offered for sale. A sizeable quantity of expired food items was found and seized during the operation.
The seized items were subsequently destroyed at a designated disposal site to prevent them from being sold or consumed.
The joint inspection underscored the authorities’ efforts to ensure that businesses comply with applicable regulations and maintain proper standards for consumers. The operation also sought to safeguard public health by preventing expired and potentially unsafe food products from entering the market.
The coordinated action by the district administration, town council and police highlighted the importance of inter-agency cooperation in maintaining lawful business practices and protecting consumer interests in Atoizu town.
