The Nagaland live audition for NE Star Ultimate Music Talent Hunt, powered by Toyota and managed by Unitex Inc., was held on August 28 at Okusa Toyota showroom, Kohima.
Affiliated with IPRS, NE Star aims to discover, nurture and celebrate musical talent from across the Northeast. The audition was coordinated by state coordinator Mele Pucho of Symphony Production and hosted by Ezhotou Keyho, Femina Miss India Nagaland 2023.
The programme featured a special performance by Vilazeü Kengurüsie and Kedo, followed by a welcome note from SK Karthik, representing Toyota.
Contestants were evaluated by musicians Ameu Usou Zao, Director of the School of Music, Kohima, and Obed Kath, singer, songwriter and frontman of Divine Connection.
The two-hour audition showcased the top 20 talents from Nagaland. The top two participants will be shortlisted to represent the state, with the same process to be followed in the other seven participating states.
Results will be announced on September 20 through the official NE Star Instagram page. State winners will compete in the finale on September 27 in Guwahati.
