The Japukong Students’ Conference (JKM) honoured 20 teachers serving in schools across Japukong Range with Best Teacher Awards on Teachers’ Day, recognising their dedication, sacrifice and commitment to the teaching profession.
In a press release, JKM said one teacher from each school within the Range, including government and private schools, was selected for the award. Certificates were presented to the recipients during Teachers’ Day celebrations held in their respective schools.
The awardees were Bendangjungla, Hindi Teacher, GPS Satsukba; Imnatemsu, Primary Teacher, GPS Japu; Tekanaro, Primary Teacher, GPS Longtho; Imchanaro, Primary Teacher, GPS Longjemdang; Medemnungsang, Primary Teacher, GHS Alongtaki; Waitsungba, Primary Teacher, GPS Lakhuni; Imliyanger, Primary Teacher, GMS Changdang; Imsuwati, Graduate Teacher, GMS Nokpu; T. Imlimenla, Graduate Teacher, GHS Saring, Bendangkumzuk, Graduate Teacher, GHS Longchem, Yaongsangba, Primary Teacher, GPS Longchem; R. Tiamongla, Primary Teacher, GMS Aonokpu; Lanusunep, Primary Teacher, GPS Aonokpu Yimsen; Temsusungla, Hindi Teacher, NGHS Lirmen; Daniel Ao, Primary Teacher, GPS Akumen; T. Medem, General Teacher, GMS Tsuremmen; L. Tiameren Longchar, Graduate Teacher, GMS Yajang ‘A’; T. Limatenzuk, Primary Teacher, GPS Yajang ‘B’; Imchasashi, Graduate Teacher, GHS Yajang ‘C’; and Imsuwapang, Assistant Teacher, J.N. Aier Residential School.
JKM also acknowledged the contribution of teaching and non-teaching staff in schools across the Range and expressed gratitude to the sponsors who supported the initiative. The sponsors included Senliwati of Chuchuyimlang, BDO Longchem; Moakumdang of Khar, Forest Ranger Longchem; Bendangtoshi of Longjemdang, retired Deputy General Manager, NST; and Tiatemjen Aier of Nokpu, Accountant, DIET Zunheboto.
