Nagaland’s Vikehelie Suohu and Kezhaletuo Semou secured podium finishes at the World Darts Federation (WDF) 1st Indian International Open, held on September 11 and 12 at Lalit The Great Eastern Hotel, Kolkata.
The tournament featured players from India and abroad, with Japan’s Tomoya Goto winning the Open Singles title after defeating India’s Ankit Goenka in the final.
Suohu finished Joint 3rd in the Open Singles and received a cash prize of Rs 50,000. His campaign ended in the semi-final with a 3-5 defeat to Goto.
He also finished runner-up in the Mixed Doubles, partnering Muskan of West Bengal. The pair received Rs 10,000 each.
Semou finished Joint 5th in the Open Singles and received ¹ 25,000. He was defeated by West Bengal’s Mohan Goel in the quarter-final.
In the Open Doubles, Suohu and Semou reached the semi-final, where they lost to Gujarat’s Shubham and Vicky Patel. The Nagaland pair finished Joint 3rd.
The results saw both Nagaland players secure podium finishes in multiple categories at the international darts tournament.
