The Nagaland Ranji team departed for Delhi on Wednesday to play two multi-day practice matches as part of its preparations for the 2026–27 Ranji Trophy season.
The practice matches are intended to provide the squad with match exposure ahead of the start of the domestic season. Following the Delhi camp, the team will travel to Ahmedabad for its opening Ranji Trophy fixture against Arunachal Pradesh from October 11 to 14.
Hokaito Zhimomi will lead the Nagaland side, with Jonathan Rongsen as vice-captain. The 16-member squad also includes Sedezhalie Rupreo, Imliwati Lemtur, Hem Bahadur Chetri, Joshua Ben Ozukum, Chetan Bisht, Anil Gupta, Yugandhar Singh, Neizekho Rupreo, Odilemba Kichu, Nagaho Chishi, Hopongkyu Sangtam, Saurav Kumar, Vino G Zhimomi and Aloto Sumi. Bisht has been included as a guest player.
Debasis Mohanty is the head coach, with Nehal Ahmad serving as team manager. Arzoo Raj is the fielding coach, while Swadesh Nagre is the strength and conditioning coach. The medical and support staff include physiotherapist Mowalong Kichu, assistant physiotherapist Anenti Tep and masseur Anirban Roy.
The Nagaland Cricket Association wished the players and support staff success in the practice matches and the upcoming Ranji Trophy season.
