The Nagaland Athletics Association (NAA) has reviewed preparations for the Nagaland State & Para Games cum 17th Inter-District Athletics Meet 2026, scheduled from November 3 to 6 at the SAI Athletics Track, Multi-Disciplinary Sports Complex, Dimapur.

The association convened a meeting with its members and technical officials on Monday to review technical standards, competition rules and procedures to ensure fair and safe conduct of the four-day event.
More than 350 athletes from across Nagaland are expected to participate in the meet, which will provide an opportunity to showcase their abilities, gain competitive experience and compete against leading athletes from the state.
The NAA said the competition would also contribute to grassroots sports development, talent identification and the preparation of promising athletes for state, national and higher-level competitions. It would further provide an opportunity for technical officials and other stakeholders to support the development of athletics in Nagaland.
The association expressed gratitude to the Nagaland Olympic Association and the state government for initiating the sporting event and supporting opportunities for athletes across Nagaland. The NAA said it remained committed to ensuring a well-organised championship that upholds fair play, discipline and sporting excellence while contributing to the growth of athletics in the state.
