Kohima, 1 March (MTNews): The ABAM Youth Ministry (YM) held a contextual training under the theme “Rooted in the Word Col. 2:7” from 27 -29 February 2024 at Jubilee Memorial Centre, Kohima in order to tackle the challenges of maintaining a strict Christian disciplined life.

In a context where modern technologies and pluralistic waves have already taken grip on the youths, the ABAM said the “nominalism in the faith has become very alarming. To adapt with the wave while maintaining strict Christian discipline has become the real challenge.”

And, therefore, it said the training was organized to achieve that balanced life.

The training covered topics such as: Youth Pastor in an AI culture, Developing Emotional Quotient and Spiritual Quotient principles in Biblical Leadership, Balancing Entertainment vs Spirituality, Navigating Social Media and Technology in Youth Ministry, and Revisiting and Envisioning Movements of ABAM YM.

The resource persons of the training were Rev Sentisashi Pastor KABA; Rev N Suhuto Chishi, Youth Secretary NBCC; Toshi Sanglir, Secretary, ABAM YM; and Tekatemjen, Coordinator, ABAM YM.

A total of 95 Associate Pastor Youth attended the training.

“As we minister in the context of such a pluralistic wave, we look forward to seeing leaders who would come up with realistic ideologies and provide apt leadership,” said Rev Dr Mar Pongener, Executive Secretary, ABAM.
