Mokokchung, 16 April (MTNews): As the 18th Lok Sabha Election is at the doorstep, the Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) headed by its Executive Secretary visited the Mokokchung Deputy Commissioner’s office on Tuesday, 16 April 2024, with a prayer for the strength and safety of all the people involved in the implementation of law and order.
During the prayer meeting, Thsuvisie Phoji, DC, Mokokchung said that the response from the villages this time was very positive and the team was very pleased to work under such cooperation. He also thanked ABAM for the prayer.
“Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener, Executive Secretary, ABAM, said that we, as people of Mokokchung, appreciate the administration for making a great effort to curb malpractices during the Election,” an update from ABAM said. It may be less conspicuous, yet we have seen many changes that have taken place in our district, it added. “It may be the toughest job, but knowing that God is always there by our side, let us not be weary of doing good, believing that one day we shall overcome this hurdle, he said,” ABAM said.
“As the administration heads towards implementing the Election code of conduct, ABAM prays for free and fair elections under their able leadership,” it also said.
