Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) organized the 2nd “The Art of Life in Fullness” program in collaboration with Mokokchung Ao Officers Telongjem (MAOT) at the ABAM Resource Centre, Kangtsung (Ao Penzu), Mokokchung, from 24th to 26th February 2025.

The “Art of Life in Fullness” program is specially designed to equip and empower church leaders with the necessary tools and techniques to experience the fullness of life and achieve all-around excellence. The program aligns with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

On the second day of the program, Dr Sarendi Walling, ACTO of Animal Science, KVK, Mokokchung, and Imtisenla, ACTO (Agronomy), KVK, Mokokchung, spoke on the topic “Importance of Soil Health and Integrated Livestock Farming.” They emphasized that integrated farming focuses on sustainability— a farming method aimed at meeting the needs of the present and future, while preserving the environment and ensuring social equity. A key component of this system is the maintenance of soil fertility through crop diversification. This system allows for better resource utilization, where waste becomes a resource. They also discussed how to maintain soil health through crop rotation, organic manure, composting, bio-fertilizers, and vermicomposting.

On the topic of the importance of co-operative societies, Tsulensa Jamir, Inspector of Co-operative Societies, Mokokchung, elaborated on the concept of co-operative societies and the principles they incorporate.

The topic of Integrated Fish Farming was presented by K Nuken Kichu, Assistant Fishery Officer, and Temsuwapang Longchar, Assistant Fishery Inspector.

On the first day of the program, Maong Jamir, Secretary and Finance Officer of ABAM, in his welcome and introductory address, stated that the main objective of the program is to provide a holistic approach for church workers to learn, practice, and impart their skills and knowledge in their respective areas.

I Lipokonen Jamir, Joint Director of SARS and President of MOAT, presented on “Introduction to Sustainable Agriculture and Beyond.” Skills and job opportunities were discussed by Er T Imlisunep, Principal of ITI, while Imtiwapang, Inspector of DIC, Mokokchung, delivered a session on “Transformative Industrialization Schemes & Export Avenues.”
