Mokokchung, June 18 (MTNews): Under the National Disaster Response Fund, additional Central assistance was approved for drought-affected Rajasthan and Nagaland during 2021-22 by the Union government.
Under the Chairmanship of Home Minister Amit Shah, the High-Level Committee approved around 1043.23 crore for Rajasthan and Rs. 39.28 crore rupees for Nagaland.
This additional assistance is over and above the funds released by the Centre to the States in the State Disaster Response Funds.
During Financial Year 2021-22, the Central Government has released 17,747 crore rupees to 28 states in their SDRFs and 7,342 crore rupees to eleven states from the NDRF.
