Mokokchung, 14 February (MTNews): Advisor for School Education, Nagaland, Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome is yet to respond to the demands made by the Sümi Kiphimi Küqhakulu (SKK), Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM), Central Nagaland Students’ Association (CNSA), the Sümi Hoho, and the Ao Senden on his now-controversial statement made recently during a consultative meeting with the NSF & ENSF on 7 February.

General Secretary of Sümi Hoho, Dr Vihuto Asumi, told this newspaper that the Advisor has yet to provide a response. He also said that legislators from Sümi and Ao communities have been asked to intervene in the matter.

The three student organizations have condemned the Advisor’s statement with the AKM even demanding that the Advisor “retract his words directed towards the Ao Tribe specifically within 6 days.”

The Sümi and Ao apex bodies have also in a joint statement endorsed the press statements of CNSA, AKM and SKK (read full text on page 4).
