The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has welcomed the revival of Nagaland Pulp & Paper Corporation Limited (NPPCL) under its new parent company, 3A Capital Services Ltd., calling it a “significant milestone in realizing the long-cherished aspiration of the district for industrial rejuvenation and economic progress.”

In a statement, AKM extended its “fullest support” to Nagaland Chief Minister, expressing confidence in his efforts to “embark on new ventures to revitalize industrial development in Mokokchung district.” The student body acknowledged the “commitment and assurances given by him during his recent visit to Tuli on 12th March 2025,” which it said reaffirmed the State Government’s dedication to restoring NPPCL’s operations in partnership with 3A Capital Services Ltd.

AKM expressed “deep appreciation” for the Chief Minister’s “visionary leadership in bringing this long-awaited revival to reality.” However, it emphasized the need to protect NPPCL’s land from unauthorized occupation, stating, “For the smooth and successful execution of the revival process, it is imperative that all land belonging to NPPCL across Mokokchung district and other parts of the state be safeguarded from encroachment.”

The organization appealed to the Government of Nagaland to take strict measures to protect NPPCL’s land and ensure that no unauthorized occupation or encroachment hinders the industrial revival efforts.

Calling on all stakeholders to cooperate in the restoration process, AKM stated that the revival of NPPCL “will create employment opportunities, boost economic growth, and benefit the entire region and the state.” The student body further reaffirmed its commitment to “working alongside the Government to ensure the smooth implementation of this revival project for the greater good of Mokokchung District and Nagaland.”
