Mokokchung, June 18 (MTNews): All Nagaland Taxi Association Mokokchung (ANTAM) felicitated Tsuwanaro Jamir, HSLC top 20th rank bearer from Queen Mary Higher Secondary School, at Majakong Ward Community Hall in Mokokchung on Saturday.

 

Tsuwanaro Jamir was awarded a ten-thousand-rupee cash prize as well as a certificate by the Union. Every year, ANTAM recognizes the children of its members who achieve top ranks in the HSLC and HSSLC exams.

Tsüwanaro Jamir, in accepting the honour, stated that earning a Top 20 ranking in the HSLC examination was a goal she had set for herself since she was a small child. She thanked God and her parents for always guiding and supporting her. She also stated that while wealth is important for a family, it is more vital to take their children’s burdens to God.

 

K. Tongpang, president of ANTAM, who also spoke at the occasion, stated that three of Nagaland’s HSLC/HSSLC 2021 toppers were taxi drivers’ children, with Tsuwanaro from Mokokchung being one of them. Dr. Zülu Jamir, pastor of Kumlong Baptist Church, said a special prayer for the topper. He complimented the top student and stated that her achievement would serve as an encouragement to the children of other taxi drivers.

 

The 17-year old topper, Tsüwanaro Jamir, who aspires to become a professor in the future, is the daughter of Alemkika and Moainla and hails from Longkong village.
