The Ao Kaketshir Telongjem Shillong (AKTS) has informed all the parents and guardians concerned that it is mandatory for all the Ao students getting admitted into schools, colleges or Universities in Shillong to get themselves “registered in the Office of the Ao Kaketshir Telongjem Shillong (AKTS).”
AKTS further informed that, in the eventuality of an untoward incident, the union will not be held accountable if he/she is not registered.
Further, AKTS has informed that they would like to extend their assistance to students who have choosen Shillong as the destination for their further studies. “The AKTS will assist the students seeking admission in schools and colleges and also in searching a comfortable abode to reside,” AKTS said in a statement.
