The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has announced the commencement of the final phase of registration for non-locals residing in Mokokchung who are yet to renew or register their AKM Census Card. The registration will take place from June 10th to 22nd at the AKM Conference Hall, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In a notification issued on 6 June, AKM cautioned that individuals failing to register or renew within the specified timeframe “shall be subjected to dire consequences.” The AKM also appealed to all concerned Ward Chairmen and Village Councils to ensure the registration of all non-locals within their respective jurisdictions.
“The infiltration of illegal immigrants is a threat to the indigenous inhabitants and has to be fought with joined hands. We expect continued cooperation from the administration and support from all the citizens of Mokokchung,” AKM stated.
Furthermore, AKM specified the required documents for registration, including the Inner Line Permit (ILP), AKM Census Card, Guarantor, and a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Ward/Village Council Chairman. The NOC should include details such as the House Owner Name, House Number, Name of Tenant, and Ward/Sector Seal & Signature of the competent authority.
