The Bethel Mission Chuchuyimlang Baptist Church has launched a new sports initiative, the ‘Canadian Ministry Chuchuyimlang’ program, aimed at children aged 10-15. Supported by the Canada Baptist Mission, the program commenced coaching sessions in 2023 with an initial cohort of 20 girls and 20 boys. The initiative continues to thrive with promising prospects for future growth.
The program focuses on teaching sportsmanship, teamwork, and perseverance, and the children are taught values of spirit and hope, enriching their schooling experience. Promising players from the program have been sponsored by the ‘Ashipo Society’ in Chuchuyimlang, enabling them to participate in competitions beyond the village. This sponsorship highlights the program’s success and the community’s commitment to fostering young talent.
