Kiphire Battalion of Assam Rifles organised a stationery distribution drive for school children of Sangkhumti Village in Kiphire district on May 18, 2026. The initiative was undertaken as part of the force’s ongoing community outreach programmes aimed at supporting education in remote areas.

A total of 50 students, along with teachers and village elders, attended the event.
The primary objective of the drive was to provide essential educational assistance to children from economically underprivileged backgrounds, ensuring they have the necessary tools to pursue their studies effectively. During the programme, notebooks, pens, pencils, geometry boxes and other essential learning materials were distributed to the students.
Village authorities and the school management expressed gratitude to Assam Rifles for the initiative, stating that such efforts help ease the burden on local families and encourage children to pursue academic excellence.
Assam Rifles reaffirmed its commitment to community development, youth empowerment and contributing positively to the future of the region.
