Mokokchung, 18 August (MTNews): ATMA Mokokchung, Changtongya Block, conducted training and demonstrations at Unger village and Liroyim village on 17 and 18 August.
A training session on “Value Addition of Seasonal Fruits and Vegetables” was conducted by Toshirenla T Longkumer, ATM, Changtongya Block. Farmers were taught the preparation of jackfruit chips, pineapple juice, and pineapple jam. The importance of sterilization and packaging techniques was also highlighted to the farmers.
A demonstration on cultivation practices of sweet corn and bitter gourd was conducted by Temsutola Jamir, BTM, Changtongya Block. The participants were provided with pheromone traps, Neem oil, and biopesticides.
