Mokokchung, March 5 (MTNews): In consonance with its mission objective of ‘Poverty alleviation and sustainable development’ and to inculcate a culture of diligent work and leadership ethics, C-Edge College is gearing up for a four-day intensive training under the 11th Nagaland Canaan Farmers School. The training is jointly organized by C-Edge College with the Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM), in collaboration with Life Ministry Learning Centre (LMLC), and will be held from March 8 to 11at the LMLC premises.

 

According to a press release received here on Sunday, the theme of Nagaland Canaan Farmers School program is ‘Pioneering Spirit Project with Rural Community Development’ with the vision of eradicating poverty and improving quality of life by sharing “Canaan Spirit (Pioneering Spirit) and the development of simple and sustainable farm technology originated in the Canaan concept.” It said that the training is “a mental and physical training practicing ‘Good and True Ways of Living’.”

 

“Its goals are to transform the life of mankind and to establish spiritual, individual as well as national independence in the minds of people,” it added.

 

Trainers and speakers from ABAM will expound on the vision and objectives of the program and also impart hands-on experiential training.

 

“The movement of the Canaan Farmers’ School originated in Korea and was founded by the late Yong Ki Kim. The School was instrumental in transforming the life of people and attaining economic growth in Korea, powered by the Canaan Ideology of – WORK, SERVICE, SACRIFICE,” it said.

 

“The training will be held with the believe to imbibe the mindset of the “Canaan Spirit”, a proven economic model, which will enable our youth to move out of the present scenario and successfully attain the “promised land” of progress and prosperity,” it added.
