Longsa, 27 January (MTNews): The 11th Open Futsal Tournament 2024, organized by Lensar Zünga in Longsa, concluded today with Chargers FC emerging as the champions. In the final match of the 2-day tournament held at Longsa Volleyball Ground, Chargers FC defeated Amigos by a margin of 3-2 in tie-breakers after the match ended 2-2 after regulation time.
The champions were awarded a cash prize of Rs 30,000, while the runners-up received Rs 20,000. Imnatoshi of Amigos won the Highest Goal Scorer award, while Imkongtemsu of Chargers FC was adjudged the Best Goalkeeper. Lungpetsing Thou of Amigos was declared the Player of the Tournament.
Tiaonen Jamir, PS to Advisor Minority Affairs & Sericulture, Government of Nagaland, served as the chief guest of the tournament on January 26, while Dr. Tialiba Longkumer was the guest of honor on January 27.
