Kohima, November 25 (MTNews): In connection with the forthcoming General Election 2023, the state Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) today held a meeting with enforcement departments/agencies for assessment of election preparedness and ground situation in the office chamber of the CEO, Nagaland.
The meeting discussed the need to thoroughly check unfair, unhealthy and illegal means by all concerned departments for conducting the elections freely and fairly.
The CEO informed that the Election Commission of India will also be reviewing the preparedness very soon with various departments and agencies. Meanwhile, the CEO also conducted a video conference yesterday with all the Deputy Commissioners, District Election Officers, Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, and Superintendents of Police regarding poll preparedness.
