Chuchuyimlang, September 5 (MTNews): As part of celebration of Teachers’ Day, the School Management Committee, Chuchuyimlang presented the 4th Immakmangyang Award for Excellence in Teaching at GMS Longzung, with DFO, Mokokchung, Dr. Sentila, IFS as a chief guest speaker, Monday. The award was presented to GPS Mongta, Primary teacher, Sentisola.
While deliberating on the significance of the day, the guest speaker, Dr. Sentila, IFS, called upon the teaching community to stand tall with pride for they work in the noblest of all professions. At the same time, Dr. Sentila pointed out to the teachers that they bear the greatest responsibility towards society to mould future citizens of substance.
Therefore, she stated that the teachers should have the passion, motivation, commitment and goal oriented qualities.
While accepting the Award, primary teacher Sentisola stated that she teaches her students with her mind in the shoes of the students – “if I were a student.”
The celebratory program was chaired by APCA Chuchuyimlang B/C, Imnasenla while a special prayer for the teachers was pronounced by AP (W) Chuchu Town B/C and invocation was said by Deacon Yangerinba. Special presentations were presented by the students of GPS Mongta, GPS Impang and GPS Longzung. Vote of thanks was proposed by SMC member Ladongyanger.
