Mokokchung, 6 May (MTNews): The “ASHIPO Society” organized the Chuchuyimlang Moatsü Open Concert on 2 May 2024 at Anü Mai Amphitheatre. The event celebrated Yaküki HiEERA Development Projects Pvt. Ltd. and featured Sunep Lemtur as the main artist. Tongzuk Pongen, Vice-Chairman of the Dimapur Urban Council Chairman Federation and Ward Chairman, was the special guest. The online Ao Moatsü song contest had Mr Luen Longchar of Longkhum village as the winner, who received a cash reward of Rs. 10,000 from the organizer and audio sponsorship from Sunep Lemtur, an update received here from the organizers said.

During the event, Tongzük Pongen urged music enthusiasts and the general public to embrace a “sense of longingness” for their native roots, encouraging them to visit their villages and immerse themselves in their own culture and the lives of their people, as well as to contribute to various aspects of community development.

The “ASHIPO Society” expressed gratitude to the village council, tourism committee, artists, special guests, media, attendees, and especially to the sponsors and well-wishers who sincerely helped make the event successful.

The President of the ‘ASHIPO Society’ stated that the event was also aimed at promoting upcoming local young artists, emphasizing that its success was attributed to the support and contributions of both the older and younger members of the community. The public was urged by the society to consistently support their forthcoming events and activities.

Despite challenging weather conditions with hailstorms and heavy rain throughout the concert, enthusiastic audiences sang along to local songs and patiently waited for hours until the main artist, Sunep Lemtur, entertained them. Videos of enthusiastic fans went viral on social media, serving as the “best illustration of unity during a storm,” according to one tourist.
