The Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio, inaugurated the International Morung, the Hornbill Festival app, a dormitory for cultural troupes, the Marketing Complex of the Handloom & Craft Pavilion, the Medical Booth cum Cash Vending facility, Toyota Ki, and the Tourism Department lounge to commemorate the 25th edition of the Hornbill Festival at Kisama on 26th November 2024.

The CM applauded the local artisans, workers, and everyone involved in the project who had been working day and night to complete the physical structure of the Hornbill Festival at Kisama. He stated that the Hornbill Festival is no longer just a Naga festival but has become an international event, attracting tourists from all over the globe. He also mentioned that we now have international partners to help celebrate and boost our economy.

He further emphasized that the Hornbill Festival will not be confined to just ten days, encouraging all the tribes residing in the state capital, who are unable to attend their native festivals, to celebrate and use the facilities at Kisama. This will help preserve our traditions and culture and showcase them year-round.
