The dialogues aimed to enhance the prospects of sustainable mining, urban development, and petroleum exploration in Nagaland. This was made known through a series of tweets shared by the CM.

CM Rio met with Union Minister Pralhad Venkatesh Joshi, who oversees Parliamentary Affairs, Coal, and Mines, to address critical issues related to Nagaland’s mineral-based industries.

Discussions were primarily centered on strategies to bolster mineral exploration while ensuring ecological sustainability. Chief Minister Rio expressed his gratitude for the Union Government’s support in this endeavor, emphasizing the state’s commitment to responsible mining practices.

The focus of their discussion, according to CM Rio’s tweet, was the coal and mining sector in Nagaland, with an emphasis on the benefits it could bring to the people of the state. Union Minister Joshi extended his unwavering support, reinforcing the government’s commitment to fostering growth in this crucial industry.

Chief Minister Rio also called on Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, who holds the portfolios for Housing and Urban Affairs, and Petroleum and Natural Gas. Their conversation revolved around urban development matters, with a particular focus on petroleum exploration and production activities in Nagaland.

The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude for Minister Puri’s steadfast support and collaboration on initiatives to bolster urban infrastructure and foster petroleum exploration in the region.
