Ahead of the Lok Sabha election, the Oil Marketing Companies have announced a reduction in the prices of 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinders across the country. This reduction, ranging from Rs 30 to Rs 32, will be applicable nationwide, including major metro cities such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai. The revised rates are set to take effect from 1 April.
Commercial gas cylinder rates differ from state to state based on the incidence of local taxation.
This development follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement in March, wherein he revealed a Rs 100 reduction in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders, coinciding with International Women’s Day.
