Mokokchung, July 5 (MTNews): The Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN) on Monday filed an FIR to the Lokayukta, Nagaland against 21 backdoor appointments allegedly made by the Directorate of Technical Association, Nagaland. According to CTAN, the 21 backdoor appointments made included 10 lecturers, 8 demonstrators and 3 work superintendents.

 

CTAN cited in the FIR a Government of Nagaland O.M.NO:AR-3/Gen-179/2007(pt) dated 13 January 2010 for the subject “Irregular appointment of Government servant by some appointing authorities,” which states, “now the Government has taken the decision that all those irregular appointments made by them should be immediately cancelled by the concern administrative heads of Departments and also, criminal prosecution of the guilty official be taken up by filing an FIR in the vigilance commission (now Lokayukta), all the payment of pension benefits should be withheld till the criminal case be disposed off.”

 

CTAN said that it had given a deadline of 30 June 2022, “but the concerned authority has shown no onus in disposing of the necessary action. So the association is constrained to file this FIR against those officers responsible for making unauthorized appointments and seek your August office to dispense justice and deliver befitting prosecution according to the law of the state” against officials who made the alleged backdoor appointments.
