Mokokchung secure 2nd place with a commendable 17 medals
Dimapur, 24 June (MTNews): The Aries Rifle and Pistol Shooting Academy, in collaboration with the Khelo India Centre, Dimapur, and the Nagaland Rifle Association, successfully organized the 2nd Inter District Shooting Championship. The event took place from 21 – 24 June at the Aries Sports Complex Shooting Range in Bamunpukhuri-1, Dimapur.
A total of 64 skilled shooters, comprising 46 men and 18 women, represented various districts including Dimapur, Kohima, Mokokchung, Chümoukedima, and Peren. They competed in a total of 27 events, showcasing their precision, focus, and shooting prowess.
After four days of intense competition, the results were tabulated, and Dimapur district emerged as the undisputed champion, securing an impressive tally of 33 medals.
Mokokchung district secured a commendable 17 medals, showcasing their strength and competitiveness. Following closely behind, Kohima district also put up a strong showing, earning 15 medals for their remarkable performances. Chümoukedima district claimed three medals, while Peren district secured one medal.
