A Job Fair organized by the Integrated Development Association (AIDA) and Don Bosco Job Placement Network, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour & Employment, and other key institutions, was held on October 5th, 2024, at Don Bosco, Dimapur. The event aimed to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers, offering a platform for career growth.

Advisor for Labour & Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, and Excise Department, Moatoshi Longkumer, inaugurated the fair, calling it a place where dreams meet opportunities. He praised the initiative for fostering career development by bringing together businesses and job seekers. Moatoshi emphasized the significance of job fairs in connecting talent with opportunity and encouraged participants to approach the event with purpose and commitment, viewing it as a chance to align their long-term goals with a suitable work environment.
Highlighting the importance of a strong employer-employee relationship, Moatoshi urged employers to create supportive workplaces that promote mutual respect, which in turn fosters business success. He also stressed the need for employees to remain adaptable and committed in the fast-changing work landscape.
District Employment Officer (DEO) Dimapur, Gideon L. Sumi, speaking as the Guest of Honour, addressed the pressing unemployment issue and encouraged job seekers to make the most of the fair. Assistant Director of the National Career Service Centre for Differently Abled, Dr. T. Mohan, also spoke, urging job seekers, particularly those differently abled, to seize the opportunity to connect with potential employers.
The event included participation from several companies, including Toka MPCS, SBI Life, Chabou & Co., Quess Corp India, and Employment Providers, with some organizations attending online. The job fair attracted over 400 job seekers, creating valuable career connections for the local community.
