The 63rd Teacher’s Day Celebration cum Felicitation of Awardees was organized by the Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) at the Conference Hall, Whispering Winds, in Mokokchung today. At the event, the District Teachers Award 2024 was presented to four teachers in recognition of their meritorious service towards humanity. The awardees were recommended by the District Level Selection Committee.
The awardees were:
· Lanuyanger, Assistant Teacher of Queen Mary Higher Secondary School
· Temsuchizung, PGT of NI Jamir GHSS
· Moamenla, Primary Teacher at Government Primary School Tuli ‘F’
· Longrimendang, Graduate Teacher at GHS Mangmetong
Meanwhile, the Soyim Shisaluyimer Telongjem (SST) also celebrated Teacher’s Day 2024 at Yimtsüngta Arok Sapang, Ungma, under the theme “Empowering Educators: Strengthening Resilience, Building Sustainability.” The event featured S Arenla Longkumer, President of Watsü Mungdang, as the guest speaker.
The highlight of the celebration was the “Teacher Certificate Commendation,” recognizing the exceptional service of several educators:
