The Department of School Education has notified for the information to all the concerned that teachers serving in Government and Private Schools following the State Curriculum who have contributed for the improvement of quality of education through their commitment and industry and also enriched the lives of their students may be nominated for consideration for the award of District/State Teachers Award 2022 by Administrate Officers of the respective areas Head of the Institution/NGOs  involved in the field of education at Village Sub­ Division District levels.

 

Nomination forms and eligibility conditions for consideration for the awards are available at every District Education Office.

 

Further, teachers (serving in Government and Private Schools following the State Curriculum) with permanent disability suffering from terminal ailment undergoing prolonged treatment for his her own aliment suffering from natural calamity of devastating nature for which grant relief was not received from any other sources may apply for the grant of Financial Assistance in the prescribed format available at the department website.

 

The last date for submission of duly filled Nomination Forms Application for Financial Assistance at the respective DEO SDEO establishment is 18/07/2022.

ELIGIBILITY / GUIDELINES FOR RECOMMENDATION OF TEACHERS FOR STATE AWARDS:

  1. The District level Committee shall forward/ nominate for State Award to the State Level Committee on the following grounds:
  2. Recommendation shall be made from among the Teachers who have:
  3. Been rendering exceptional service to the school as well as to the society (beyond the school perimeter) and who have also pro-actively devised innovative approaches in teachers – learning process, promoted literacy programmes, encouraged students to participate in extra-curricular activities like Swachh Bharat, painting, writing journal, media usage for social changes, environmental awareness etc. (self-attestation of such activities shall be enclosed).
  4. Good moral character/integrity. He/she must have a good reputation in the society.

iii.                  Promoted the education of differently abled children and who may have done outstanding work for inclusive education.

 

  1. While recommending award for the teachers, the following points shall be noted carefully:
  2. The nominee for the State Award should be a District Awardee.
  3. The selection process for State Award shall be based purely on merit and not on the length of his/her service as teacher or any other considerations.

iii.                  Teachers from schools producing ‘NIL’ result in HSLC / HSSLC shall not be recommended for the award whatsoever.

  1. Teachers who are attached to Offices and any other non-teaching assignment other than a school shall not be recommended for the award.
  2. Must consider the place of posting of teachers (Priority shall be given to those teachers who are fulfilling the above requirements and who are serving in the far flung and remote areas of the state with sincerity and dedication).
  3. Teachers who have criminal cases or court cases pending against them shall not be nominated for the award.

vii.                The District Level Committee shall examine, screen and have personal interaction with the concerned Head of Institution and forward nominations for State Award to the State Level Working Committee in duly filled prescribed format along with 4 (four) recent passport size photographs.

viii.              Incomplete information and documents shall be summarily rejected.

  1. From each District, not more than 2 (two) teachers shall be forwarded from Private Institutions and not more than 4 (Four) Teachers shall be forwarded from Government Institutions.
  2. All Nagaland Private Schools Association (ANPSA) shall nominate/forward not more than 2 (two) Private School teachers from each district for State

 

 

Award and Financial Assistance directly to the State Level Working Committee.

 

  1. (a) The final selection for the awards which may not exceed 20 in total number in a year shall be decided by the State Level Working Committee.

(b)   Bestowing of awards to the teachers shall not be necessarily district wise.

III.                Time Line for submission of nomination:

  1. Short listing/ Nomination at the SDEO Level: 22/07/2022
  2. Submission to the District Level Committee: 25/07/2022

iii.                  Meeting of the District Level Committee : Last week of July 2022

  1. Submission to the Directorate : 08/08/2022
  2. Outstanding contribution made by Administrative Head of the school should be encouraged and shall be recommended for the Governor’s Award.
