Acknowledging the ongoing political instability in Bangladesh, the Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) noted the significant threat of mass immigration for refugees that can jeopardize regional stability. In response to this, the ENSF has issued a directive to its federating units. These include the CWS, KSU (Konyak), KSU (Khiamniungan), TSU, YAA, PSC, USSC, and ENSSU. The Federation has called for the activation of all security measures, such as ILP check gates and surprise checking and also to remain vigil of any unnatural movement within the jurisdiction.

The ENSF has also appealed to the Deputy Commissioners of the six affected districts—Tuensang, Mon, Longleng, Kiphire, Shamator, and Noklak—to activate every village council in monitoring illegal immigration within its village and to report any unusual movement through District Administration for better communication channel.

Additionally, the Federation owing to the high alert and risk of illegal immigration appealed to all local authorities and community leaders to remain vigilant and proactive in addressing the challenges posed by illegal immigration.

The statement was issued by Sepikyu J Sangtam, Vice President of the ENSF, and Molo Phom, Assistant General Secretary of the ENSF.
